Hello and welcome to JJ’s world! If you’re wondering who JJ is, that’s me! Also known by my real name, which is Jarius. I am a twenty-one year old interdisciplinary artist. I was have lived in Virginia for all of my life and I am currently based in Harrisonburg Va, where I am getting my B.A in Musical Theatre at James Madison University.

I have always loved performing ever since I was a kid, my mom would recount memories of me at the age of 4 dancing and singing to the movie Dreamgirls. My first performance as the scarecrow in my elementary schools production The Wiz solidified my love for the art of not just Musical Theatre, but performing in general. Ever since then I have involved in the arts, whether it be Theatre, Opera, or Musical Theater.

When I’m not on stage I am playing The Sims 4 for hours on end, writing a short script to a scene, or watching movies! I believe that I want to be an inspiration to the next generation and show them that you too can succeed, and do the work. My journey hasn’t always been easy, and I am sure it never will be, but what dedicated hard worker’s journey isn’t?
